I currently hold a Bachelor’s of Communication with a Minor in Women and Gender Studies from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. I am a former DECA Officer, Children's Miracle Network Champion, and People to People Student Ambassador alumni.

WHERE I’VE BEEN

Title IX Communication Intern - St. Edward’s University

Designed digestible, accessible, and engaging monthly newsletters to be distributed amongst the institution. Worked alongside both St. Edward’s Vice President of Student Affairs and various team members to ensure quality. Informed students and faculty of events and resources that ensured student safety. Made students aware of mandatory reports of sexual misconduct in compliance with Title IX law. 

Food and Beverage Associate Trainer — Hyatt Regency

Mentored team members and new hires to succeed and advance within the department and company. Boosted workplace productivity by developing fresh ideas and implementing new operational standards. Developed genuine relationships with regulars to guarantee repeat business. 

Soda Jerk and Candy Clerk Big Top Candy Shop

Used company equipment as a creative outlet to design multiple new recipes to update menu selection. Accepted drink orders and delivered them promptly and accurately. Memorized company menu to increase productivity and decrease wait times.

I planned, produced, and presented an academic talk on the topic of gender performance to amplify that physical characteristics do not always correlate with one’s gender identity.

“Campus Light Walk”, Independent Research

Spent multiple hours over a series of days collecting and analyzing data in relation to campus safety. A full independent study was conducted on such matters and was reviewed by Dr. Amy Clements of St. Edward’s University.

World AIDS Day Tabling,UTA WGST Department

Tabled alongside various members of the Women and Gender Studies department at UT Austin on World AIDS Day to both remember the lives lost to the AIDS epidemic and to also spread awareness. Spent time handing out free red ribbons and encouraging passerby to get tested for AIDS in the van located nearby the table.

Angel Tree, Salvation Army

Worked with members of the South Austin Salvation Army near the winter holidays to create bags of clothing and toys to give to children and their families to ensure a good holiday. Items to be donated included new toys, puffy winter coats, and hygiene products. Made connections with operation managers.

Champion Child, Children’s Miracle Network

I was the face of Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ in 2010. Advocated for donations towards Children’s Miracle Network affiliated hospitals by sharing my family’s story across multiple New Jersey cities. These efforts raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations.
